As a real estate investment firm, STM Invest managed a large portfolio of its own properties. Countless documents arrived every day, from invoices and bank statements to letters from authorities, delivery notes and legal correspondence. A full-time case handler was busy exclusively with processing this flood of documents by hand, and deadlines were regularly missed.
Through digitization of incoming mail, AI-based document processing and OCR technology, documents are captured automatically, classified and routed to the right business processes. Standardization enables detailed cost accounting per residential unit and creates full transparency over all document flows through a “file logic”.
